Passive income

18 February 2008 One Comment

Do nothing. Make money.

That sums up my ultimate goal. I want my money to work for me rather then working for money. The easiest way to do this is to invest in income producing assets.

As of February 08 I have two streams of income that do not require me to do any work.

The first one is my rental house. I hired a property management company to handle collecting payments and finding a renter. After the management companies fees my rental house is generating $110 per month of passive income.

The second one is website hosting. I have a resllers package with 100 megs webhosting that allows me to resell website hosting at a higher cost. I am currently selling space to two different companies. This brings in $45 a month of passive income. The only work I do for this is sending the companies a bill at the end of each month.

Passive income summary February 2008

Rental property – $110

Website hosting – $45

Total – $155

    Hello there

I m from the UK, but a big fan of your work, but i m very surprised at your monthly income from renting the flat out, here in uk even after paying the agency fees, i get around £400 per month which equates to $750 per month and thats only for a 1 bed apartment. I m sure you can save more from there or generate more income from there.
