My Jeep gets an average of 12mpg and I can go about 160 miles per tank of gas. It’s pretty bad, Im usually spending $45+ each fill up. Ive been thinking about buying a newer car that gets 24+mpg so I could save on gas money. It sounds like the smart thing to do, spend less on gas, save more money. Right? Guess what, I was wrong.

Rebates have become increasingly popular in the last few years on a lot of items and certainly on electronic items and computers. Rebates of $20, $50 or $100 are not uncommon.
I’ve even seen items advertised as “free after rebate”. Do these rebates come under the heading of “too good to be true”? Some of them do and there are “catches” to watch out for but if you are careful, rebates can help you get some really good deals.

Identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes in America. When a dishonest person has your Social Security number, the thief can use it to get other personal information about you. Most of the time identity thieves use your number and your good credit to apply for more credit in your name. Then, they use the credit cards and do not pay the bills.
